Petronas plans to buy Indonesia's largest listed energy company

   According to Bloomberg news agency reported Sept. 29 in Jakarta, the Indonesian national oil company (Pertamina), a director of Ferederick Siahaan here today to accept the
U.S. Bloomberg Novosti Press Agency reporters Dian Huacai and Fang Shiyue, the company plans to buy Indonesia's largest listed energy company Medco Energy International, Inc.
(Medco Energi Internasional).
    Siahaan said that Petronas may buy Indonesia's Medco Energy International, the parent company of shares in British energy company Encore.
    Siahaan said Indonesia hoped Petronas Medco Energy International of Indonesia State Oil Company before the acquisition was "split" of its non-oil units.
    Siahaan said, adding that Indonesia's national oil nowadays is also considering merger with Medco Energy International and co-operation.
